Detailed description of Cherry Valley Club
Cherry Valley Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Garden City, New York.
Cherry Valley Club Golf Course opened in 1907. The course was designed by Walter Travis and Devereux Emmet. Frank Duane redesigned six holes in 1970, and Geoffrey Cornish and Brian Silva redesigned the entire course in the latter part of the 1970's.
The Cherry Valley Club Golf Course is similar to a links-style course. The greens are small and fast, and water comes into play on four holes. The signature hole is #7, a 451-yard, par 4, with a standard cut of rough lining both sides of the fairway from tee to green.

I'm a member at Cherry Valley so many of my answers reflect that. It is a great local course. They have cut down too many trees to make it perfect, for me. But I am very pleased to have been a member for many years.
